Satyavati Rural Municipality Establishes Agricultural Produce Market Center

Satyavati Rural Municipality has launched an agricultural produce market centre to support local farmers by regulating the prices of the area’s grains, vegetables, and fruits. This market operates as a wholesale centre, aiming to provide farmers with fair pricing and an efficient platform for selling their produce.

The municipality has deployed two staff members to manage the wholesale market. The centre emphasises organic food items, and the produce sold here undergoes lab tests to ensure minimal pesticide levels. According to Municipality Chief Tikaram Pandey, the high demand for organic and quality-assured products often leads to their complete sale within two hours of arrival.

This initiative is expected to enhance the livelihoods of local farmers while providing consumers with safe and organic food options.
